19ft Traditional Mongolian Yurt

Sleeps: 2 Adults Size: 19ft View: Farm & Nature and Mountain Views

Accommodation Description

Our traditional Mongolian yurt has been intricately carved and carefully hand painted for a nomadic effect. It is the perfect way to retreat and detach, whatever the weather. Enter a state of true tranquillity, surround yourself with panoramic mountains that meet the sea, and be immersed in healing forests and greenery.

At Pandy Farm we are inspired by nature. We love to grow our own produce, raise our own grass-fed cattle, care for the land, and to create our own renewable energy. Our yurt is powered by solar and is extremely eco-friendly – featuring a cosy log burner for that extra bit of luxury in winter! The clean, fresh air, natural spring water and next to no light pollution makes Snowdonia one of the first named ‘dark sky reserves’ in the UK! Prepare to be in awe of sensational starry skies that will – truly – take your breath away.

Start your journey to the farm by making your way up our 1 mile gravel track through the beautiful RSPB, Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) oak woodland within Snowdonia’s National Park. Finally arriving at your destination with a breathtaking view of Cadair Idris.

Things to know for your stay –

–   The farm access is via a steep gravel track with a hairpin turn. To embrace your inner adventure – we highly recommend bringing a 4×4. In winter we ask that all guests bring a 4×4! Vans or commercial vehicles will not be able to access Pandy Farm.

–   You will need to follow the check-in details provided by us to find the farm, so be sure to keep those handy.

–   We love to provide our guests with our top quality produce – If you would like to take advantage of our very own grass-fed beef, or locally wild-caught seafood, please contact me to pre-order.

TOILET & SHOWER – The Yurt has access to a conventional outdoor loo and a full shower with hot water, just a few steps away!

OFF GRID LIVING – There is solar lighting and 2 USB sockets for your use in the yurt. Mobile signal is usually very good on EE or Three networks. Others may be patchy.

COOKING – There is a double-hob gas stove inside the yurt. All the basics needed for cooking will be provided such as saucepans, utensils, knives, forks, plates and cups. So you don’t need to worry about packing too much!

TAP (WATER) – You can fill up and reuse the bottle provided using the outdoor tap, all water should be boiled as it comes from our natural spring – straight off the mountain!

BEDDING & TOWELS – Bedding or towels can be provided for an additional £15 If REQUESTED at least 24 hours before arrival.

HEATING – The only source of heat in the yurt is our cosy log burner. It’s essential for the best experience throughout winter! Please do remember to bring your own logs and kindling with you.

We had an absolutely amazing time! We were constantly taken back by how beautiful and peaceful the location was.The Yurt was very cosy and clean, and the toilet and shower were also great.Amazing value for money and we would recommend it to anyone!Ps. A 4x4 is recommended for a reason, but you can scamper up the hill in a two wheel drive car if you know what you’re doing and don’t mind flicking some stones 🙂

We absolutely loved the Yurt!! Such a great location within the mountains and everyone has been so friendly and repsonsive. Definitely take their advice on the track going up, we had a ropey time with my Renault Laguna but she made it up in the end. Matthew the Farmer was so friendly helpful and welcoming, really enjoyed his company and help. The yurt is beautiful on the inside, it's exactly what we were after and the fire pit outside is a nice touch. Also we got one of the the meat box's they offer from the farm and its delicious!

OMG this place is amazing. If you are looking to check out of a busy life or want to see some amazing scenery, then this is the place for you! The place is so peaceful it just makes you want to relax. Everything from the Woodfire to the outdoor shower was just amazing. We absolutely loved the outdoor shower, the surroundings and the feeling of absolute peacefulness. We visited lots of local places including a castle in the middle of nowhere where which was amazing. The Yurt its self was great, everything you need is there and it’s all clean and tidy. It’s isolated enough to give you a great break but the local town is only 20 mins or so away! (Amazing all day brekkies there too!) Both of us were actually sad to leave! Comms from the host were great, would defo recommend and defo love to visit again! 100 percent awesome!

If you are after a place deep in the wilds, away from it all, then Ela's place is for you. Back to basics, fire and water, peace, birdsong and beautiful views over the mountains. What more could one ask for? The road up to the yurt is not for the feint hearted, but i managed it in my seat ibiza.... after a few attempts. Thank you Ela and Matthew! I will be back. 😁
